From the hull on the map to space alongside.
Observe the vessel layout, interpret separations with ROM and explore alternatives in a local scenario. Three connected steps for preparing berth analysis.
Observe the current layout
Find the vessel on the map and locate it relative to the berth front. Hull dimensions and the geometry of quays, moorings and basins help you read occupied space beyond the AIS point.
Interpret the geometry with ROM
ROM, the Spanish maritime works recommendations framework, provides the reference for this geometric berth analysis. For eligible vessels with valid corrections, ROM mode displays hulls with position and heading adjusted to the berth front. Axial measurements and ROM evaluation relate vessel separations and distances to the berth front to that physical layout.
- Berth front
- Hull layout
- Separation
Hull separation is interpreted alongside each vessel’s relationship to the berth front.
Bring the analysis into a local scenario
Import a snapshot of usable corrected positions from the map, without duplicating vessels already present. Explore alternatives from that layout or build the scenario using catalogue vessels and custom vessels defined by name, length and beam.
Compose the layout
Add multiple instances, select each vessel and remove those you no longer need. Placement is guided by the quay front and its waterside.
Move and reverse direction
Move vessels and turn them through 180°. After dropping a vessel, review the new layout and its geometric relationships.
Compare alternatives
Consult distances, geometric conflicts and ROM evaluation for pairs and for the overall layout. Explore a different use of quay space in the local scenario.
